Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred but not required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing: Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Security Officer license in Washington, DC.
• Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Background Check: Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol: Conduct regular patrols of the property, both on foot and in vehicles, to deter and detect criminal activity.
• Access Control: Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification, and manage visitor access.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including medical emergencies, fires, and security breaches.
• Surveillance: Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to identify and report suspicious activities.
• Report Writing: Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities.
• Customer Service: Provide assistance and excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.

Compensation Range $23.47 - $35.21 per hour   Salary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
